What does sponsorship money go?

Medford Sunrise Rotary is a charitable organization. Other than paying for the cost of the flags, all proceeds from the Burlington County Field of Honor go to charitable activities sponsored by Medford Sunrise Rotary, with a special emphasis on those that help veterans. Examples of those contributions include:

  • The Yellow Ribbon Club, which sends special treats to our troops serving overseas.
  • Training service dogs to assist returning veterans who sustained disabling combat injuries.
  • Fisher House, the home where families of injured returning service members can stay while they undergo medical treatment.
  • Semper Fido, whose mission is to unite wounded veterans suffering from PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injurywith rescued dogs trained as service dogs, to nurture a healing and rejuvenating bond between the two. The result is a positive, non-judgmental, unconditional relationship desperately needed by both.

Where are the flags made?

They are all manufactured in the USA.

Do I get to keep the flag if I sponsor one?

No. However, we do give sponsors the commemorative medallion with the printed dedication for their Hero. We produce a different collectible medallion each year.

Can I volunteer?

Yes! We need volunteers to help assemble the flags and set them in place on the afternoon of Friday, May 26, 2023, or to help dismantle the field around 5PM on Friday, June 2, 2023. And Medford Sunrise Rotary can ALWAYS use volunteers for our many community service projects.

To volunteer or to learn more about Rotary, go to www.MedfordSunriseRotary.org or simply join us for breakfast at 7:15 any Wednesday at the PopShop on Main Street.
